Carlos Smith has extensive experience in the logistics and operations sector, currently serving as the Operations Compliance Manager at DFDS since May 2010, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health, safety, claims, and environmental standards while supporting staff well-being. Previously, Carlos held positions such as General Stevedore Operations Manager, emphasizing collaborative management in diverse operations, and General Stevedore Team Leader, overseeing a team in stevedoring activities. Carlos began his career as a Port Operative, initially at Young's Seafood and later at CLdN CARGO, where foundational skills in machinery operation and logistics were developed. Educationally, Carlos holds an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from Grimsby Institute and completed secondary education at The Immingham School.
