Manu Drijvers

Manu Drijvers is a seasoned professional in the field of cryptography and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Engineering at DFINITY since September 2018, following roles as Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, and Cryptography Researcher. Prior to DFINITY, Manu worked at IBM Research - Zurich from October 2014 to August 2018 as a Predoctoral Researcher, focusing on cryptographic protocols that significantly influenced standards such as TPM, ISO, and FIDO. Achievements include extending Hyperledger Fabric for privacy-preserving authentication using zero-knowledge proofs and representing Switzerland in the ISO cryptography working group. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Cryptography from ETH Zürich and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Radboud University. Early academic training at Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen culminated in completion of VWO.
