Roel Storms is a highly experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as a Product Security Engineer at DFINITY since August 2022 and as the founder of Ayro BVBA, where Roel specializes in offensive security services and consulting. With a background that includes significant roles such as Application Security Specialist at BNP Paribas and Cyber Security Consultant at Ypto, Roel has developed expertise in penetration testing, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and secure software development. Roel's entrepreneurial spirit is also evident in the co-founding of Innoledge GCV and hands-on experience in various security roles throughout the years, including penetration testing and virtual information security. Educational credentials include multiple advanced certifications from the SANS Technology Institute and a Master of Science in Computer Science from KU Leuven, along with other relevant degrees in industrial sciences.
