Dr. Bo Zhou is an accomplished researcher and academic with extensive experience in embedded intelligence and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of Department and Senior Researcher at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since August 2013, Dr. Zhou leads significant EU and BMBF projects focusing on wearable and ambient sensors for activity recognition. Additionally, Dr. Zhou has been a university lecturer at the University of Kaiserslautern since April 2017, teaching a master's module in Embedded Intelligence. Dr. Zhou's academic credentials include a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, an MS in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and a master's in System-on-chip from the University of Southampton, alongside a BS in Automation from Harbin Engineering University. Previous experience includes a research internship at Rakon, where Dr. Zhou engaged in prototyping and evaluating digitally compensated oscillators.
