Kevin Baum currently serves as the Research Group Leader for Responsible AI and Machine Ethics (RAIME) at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), a position held since January 2023. Additionally, Kevin leads the Centre for European Research on Trusted AI (CERTAIN) at DFKI and has played a significant role in establishing a new research area in neuro-mechanistic modeling under Professor Verena Wolf. As a co-founder of Algoright and Redkea, Kevin has accumulated extensive experience in the field of ethics and artificial intelligence. Previously, Kevin worked as a scientific associate at Universität des Saarlandes, where responsibilities included teaching ethics for computing and conducting research on machine ethics and AI explainability while pursuing a PhD. Kevin holds a doctorate in philosophy from TU Dortmund University, as well as multiple degrees in philosophy and computer science from Universität des Saarlandes.
