Klaus-Dieter Althoff has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and research. Klaus-Dieter began their career as a scientific team member and postdoc at the University of Kaiserslautern in 1986. Klaus-Dieter then moved on to Fraunhofer IESE, where they served as a department head and group leader from 1997 to 2004. In 2004, they joined the University of Hildesheim as Prof. Dr. and continued their research work. Since 2010, Klaus-Dieter Althoff has been the Head of the Competence Center Case-Based Reasoning at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
Klaus-Dieter Althoff pursued their education starting from 1977 to 1986 at Aachen University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Thereafter, from 1986 to 1992, they attended the University of Kaiserslautern, and successfully completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science.
