Chad Burns

Chad Burns, MBA, currently serves as Controller at DFS since December 2025, bringing extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting management. Prior roles include Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting at Choice Hotels International, Manager of Global Lease Accounting at GTT, and Manager of SEC Reporting at NextCure, Inc. Chad has a strong background in US GAAP financial close, SEC filings, public audits, and internal controls, having also worked in various capacities in private equity, public audit, and corporate consolidations with firms such as Cordia Resources, Clearview Group, and Alvarez & Marsal. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Banking from the University of Navarra.
