Phebe Ciemny

Phebe Ciemny is an experienced technical writer currently working at D&G Support Services in the Office of Diversity and Civil Rights since January 2020. Previous roles include Correspondence Analyst Writer/Editor at CISA Executive Secretariat, where responsibilities involved training new hires and developing training materials. Phebe has also served as a Resident Program Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University, providing logistical support, and as an English Instructor at Best Brains Academy of South Riding, focusing on exam prep for middle and high school students. Additional experience includes tutoring and managing a Writing Center at Prepped Learning, serving as a peer tutor at George Mason University's Writing Center, volunteering as a judge for Poetry Out Loud, teaching ESL in Senegal, and participating on the Prince William County Poet Laureate Board. Phebe holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing: Poetry with English Honors from George Mason University.
