dGenerate Films brings uncensored, unprecedented and visionary content from deep within mainland China’s independent, and underground, film scene to the U.S. market.

dGenerate Films combines pioneering relationships in China with a groundbreaking online platform Reframe, a joint venture between Amazon and Tribeca Film Institute, to distribute previously inaccessible media to U.S. audiences. Films are made available for educational DVD, online VOD, public screenings, television broadcast, and all other non-theatrical channels. dGenerate Films also connects American producers with Chinese media makers by providing co-production services for documentary and narrative films.

dGenerate Films recognizes that unauthorized films by China’s post-Sixth Generation are the only truly independent media in China today. We remain deeply committed to providing American audiences with an unmediated look at life, as it’s truly lived, inside the world’s next superpower.
