Timothy Bents

Timothy Bents is a GIS Specialist at DGR Engineering since February 2016, with a robust background in geography and geographic information science. Bents served as an Adjunct Professor at Dordt College, teaching an introductory course in GIS, GPS, and Surveying for a semester in 2018. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Kansas, where lesson planning and student support were key responsibilities, and as a GIS and Stormwater Intern for the City of Shawnee, KS, where contributions included updating geodatabases and collaborating with various departments on infrastructure projects. Bents holds a Master of Science in Geography with a soil science specialty and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geographic Information Science, both from recognized universities. Additional experience encompasses farm management at Bents Farms and remote sensing work at the South Dakota State University GIS Center of Excellence.
