Gajanan C. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Dgraph Labs as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Technical Leader. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the Chief Systems Architect at Visa, Inc.

Before their time at Visa, Inc., Gajanan was involved in the organization and co-founding of the Big Data Security and Data Governance Meetup in Silicon Valley from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they co-founded and served as the CTO of Acumio, a stealth big data startup, from 2015 to 2017.

Gajanan's experience also includes roles such as Lead Architect at Dataguise in 2014-2015, Lead Engineer at MarkLogic from 2009 to 2014, and Technical Consultant at Raj Abhyanker, LLP in 2009. Gajanan has also worked as a Principal Engineer (XML Architect) at EMC (Documentum) from 2007 to 2009 and as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Sybase Inc. from 2003 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Gajanan has demonstrated expertise in database internals, XML processing, search and discovery, and big data technologies. Gajanan has been involved in various projects from product conceptualization to delivery and has actively participated in start-up activities, marketing events, and networking for business opportunities. Gajanan's notable contributions include writing patents, leading technical teams, and being recognized by company leadership for their expertise.

Gajanan C. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, which was obtained from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Computer Science and Data Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, spanning from 1990 to 1992. Their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electronics was completed at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli from 1982 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Gajanan C. has obtained several certifications. These include certifications in various topics such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects. These certifications were obtained from Coursera, with completion dates ranging from 2017 to 2019.
