Lars Boye Hansen

Lars Boye Hansen has extensive work experience in the field of Earth Observation and Data Analytics. Lars is currently the Head of Earth Observation Advisory, Data & Analytics at DHI, where they lead a team of senior project managers and business development managers. Lars is responsible for project and business development, as well as project portfolio and resource management. Previously, Lars served as the Interim Vice President, Data & Analytics at DHI, leading a group of over 30 experts in satellite remote sensing and advanced analytics for environmental monitoring and water resources management.

Before joining DHI, Lars worked at DHI GRAS, where they held various roles including Operations Director, Head of Projects, Senior Project Manager, and Senior Consultant. In these positions, they had responsibilities related to daily operations and management, business development, project execution, resource allocation, and quality assurance compliance.

Lars also has experience as a Visiting Scholar at The International Research Institute for Climate & Health, University of Columbia, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Copenhagen.

Lars Boye Hansen obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physical Geography/Remote Sensing from the University of Copenhagen in the years 1995 to 2001.
