Mike Cope

Principal Water Resource Engineer at DHI Group

Mike Cope has a diverse work experience in the field of water resource engineering and management. Mike started their career at Halcrow in 1982, where they held various roles such as Senior Project Manager, Team Leader for River Basin Management, and Technical Director for Water and Environmental Management in Asia and Australasia. In 2012, they joined CH2M HILL as a Team Leader for Water and Environment in Malaysia, and later became the CH2M Hill Team Leader for Water, leading a team of engineers and scientists. In 2017, they moved to WSP in New Zealand as a Principal Engineer, specializing in stormwater and flood risk management. Mike worked on projects such as the Christchurch Land Drainage Recovery Programme. Currently, Mike is working at DHI as a Principal Water Resource Engineer, starting in 2022.

From 1979 to 1982, Mike Cope attended the University of Nottingham, where they obtained a BSc in Civil Engineering.
