Tom Gubbels has diverse experience in various roles, starting as a medewerker at Boomkwekerij Coonen from June 2015 to September 2022, where responsibilities included propagating and preparing ornamental shrubs for transport. Tom worked as a steward for Rijkswaterstaat from June 2019 to September 2022, assisting pleasure boats at locks. Following this, a series of internships in the field of applied biology took place, including roles at Royal Brinkman and BioInnovations, focusing on quality control and biological pest production respectively. Tom also completed a project with fellow students analyzing the effects of different mulch types on soil biology and chemistry for Ploegmakers. Recently, Tom has been employed as a verkoopmedewerker at BAUHAUS since September 2022, enhancing technical knowledge in the hardware department, and as a bezorger for DHL since August 2023, ensuring timely and safe delivery of packages. Currently, Tom is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Plant Sciences at Wageningen University & Research after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology from HAS Hogeschool.
