Michael Powell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. Michael currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at DiaCarta, Inc. Since 2010, they have also been the Founder of Apollo Longevity Institute. In the past, they founded and served as the President and Chief Scientific Officer of ProCoron, LLC from 1992 to 2015. Michael also founded and served as the President of TIGER LLC from 2008 to 2013, where they worked with various pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and molecular diagnostics companies. Additionally, they have held positions such as Chief Scientist at Nanopoint, Inc. and Founder, President, and CSO at Odyssey Thera. Earlier in their career, they served in senior roles at Microgenics - Boehringer Mannheim - Roche, IGEN, Inc., Integrated Genetics, Inc., and Celltech PLC. Throughout their career, Michael Powell has demonstrated expertise in scientific research, development, and leadership.

Michael Powell completed their PhD in Medicinal Organic Chemistry at Loughborough University from 1974 to 1977. Following this, they pursued a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Total Synthesis of Biologically Active Natural Products at the University of Nottingham from 1977 to 1981.
