Michael Weber

Michael Weber has had a varied career in the finance and technology sectors. Michael began their career in 2008 as a Derivative Trader at BNP Paribas, followed by an Analyst role at Lehman Brothers/Nomura in 2009. In 2010, they moved to Nomura as an Investment Banker in Capital Markets. In 2012, they took on the role of Executive Assistant at Bertelsmann, where they were responsible for undertaking analysis and research, preparing presentation materials, and managing projects. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Bonsum, where they were responsible for sustainable digital currency, social impact, investor relations, and sales. Michael then moved to myLucy AG in 2016 as the Chief Digital Officer. In 2017, they took on the role of Co-Founder at BlockState and Member of the Supervisory Board at Hostwriter, a non-profit network connecting journalists around the world. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Próspera as a Member of the Board of Advisors.

Michael Weber attended Schule Schloss Salem from 1999 to 2003, graduating with an Abitur (A-Levels). Michael then attended the University of Cologne from 2003 to 2006, graduating with a Vordiplom in Economics and Physics. From 2006 to 2009, they attended ESCP Business School, earning a Dipl.Kaufmann, MsC, Diplome de Grande Ecole in Master in Management. In 2019, they completed a course at HarvardX, CRISPR: Gene-editing Applications, in Genetics.
