Derek Lu

Derek Lu is a product designer with extensive experience in the healthcare, e-commerce, and data visualization industries. Currently employed at Dialogue since 2020, Derek focuses on designing platforms for both patients and practitioners in the telemedicine space. Prior to this role, Derek contributed to various product designs at Lightspeed Commerce from 2017 to 2020, where responsibilities included developing a retail/inventory management product, an e-commerce platform, a payments solution, and a supplier network. Derek's design skills were initially honed at Plotly from 2015 to 2017, creating web application tools for data visualization. Additionally, Derek has experience as a teaching assistant for a geotechnical engineering course at McGill University. Derek holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from McGill University.
