Edwin Fu

Edwin (Xue-Yong) Fu is an accomplished expert in natural language processing (NLP) with extensive experience in applying deep learning and generative AI techniques across various roles. Currently serving as the Industry Track Chair for the Association for Computational Linguistics, Edwin oversees the organization of the Industry Track for the NAACL 2025 conference. As a Senior Applied Scientist at Dialpad, responsibilities include building real-time natural language applications with a focus on large language models. Previous positions at PatSnap and Oddle involved developing deep learning-based solutions for patent text analysis and e-commerce recommendation systems, respectively. Edwin also held a significant role at ASUS, where contributions included building an automatic knowledge construction system and natural language processing models for AI-driven robotics. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Physics from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from National Cheng Kung University.
