Fred Mailhot

Fred (Frédéric) Mailhot is an experienced professional in the fields of speech recognition and computational linguistics, currently serving as Senior Speech Recognition Engineer and Manager of ASR at Dialpad since September 2019. Prior to this, Fred held the position of Lead Data Scientist at Autodesk and worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Ask Media Group. Fred's career also includes roles at Ask.com as a Data Scientist (NLP), ConsumerSearch as a Software Scientist (NLP), and a contract position at Google as a Speech Data Ops Engineer. Academic contributions include a postdoctoral position in Linguistics at The Ohio State University, along with teaching and research at Carleton University. Fred holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from Carleton University, alongside degrees in Computer Science, an individualized program combining linguistics, psychology, and computer science, and a BA in Linguistics from McGill University.
