Peter Baumgart

Peter Baumgart is a highly experienced technology consultant and engineering leader with a strong background in developing innovative technologies in various fields. Presently serving as a Consultant and Advisor to the COO at Diamond Foundry since September 2022, Peter focuses on synthetic single crystal diamond applications. Previously, Peter held the position of VP of Engineering at MirraViz from 2019 to 2022, where Peter advanced ultra-high-gain projector screens. As the owner of Baumgart Consulting from 2015 to 2019, Peter provided expert technology consulting. In earlier roles, Peter was Director of EUV Engineering at Cymer, where significant advancements in photon source technology for lithography were achieved, and held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Hitachi GST, leading R&D efforts on HDD technologies. Peter's career began at IBM Almaden Research Center as a Research Staff Member/Manager. Peter earned a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Physics from RWTH Aachen University.
