In memory of Ian Cox, and his love for all types of adventure, the Dick's-A-Thon is a 26-mile loop through Seattle via the classic drive-in, Dick’s. Runners are challenged to not only complete the route, but to eat a menu item at each stop along the way. 

All proceeds are donated to search and rescue and other outdoor organizations dedicated to keeping the outdoors safe and accessible for all. 

The Story Behind the Dick's-A-Thon
In 2018, brothers Ian and Connor had the crazy idea to do this one-of-a-kind marathon as a way to send Connor off before moving down to Santa Barbara. 

In 2022, Ian went on a solo trek through the Cascades and didn't return. In the weeks following this tragic loss, Ian's friends and family came together to think of ways to honor him. And so the Dick's-A-Thon was recreated, becoming a celebration of Ian's love for life and adventure while raising money for the organizations he cared so much about.
