Kaps has an extensive history with Diehl, having held various leadership positions including Development Director at Diehl Connectivity Solutions and Head of Development Decentralized Energy Management Systems at Diehl Controls. With a career that began as a Development Engineer in the early 1990s, Kaps has consistently progressed in roles related to development and innovation. Kaps holds a degree in Electronics with a focus on Automation from Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences and has completed an apprenticeship as a Radio & TV Technician.
