Diffables

“10 to 18 percent children in Pakistan's private schools are suffering from learning difficulties whereas the situation is even worse in government schools where attention towards the children is already minimal”- Chief Executive of Foundation for Rehabilitation and Education of Special Children (FRESH) Unfortunately the term “learning difficulties (LD)” is often overlooked in our society. In Pakistan, a huge number of children with LD often go undiagnosed; either due to the stigmatization of LD or lack of awareness regarding them. In a race to make children excel in their walks of life, parents often fail to understand that every child is different from another. Putting too much pressure on children will eventually result in higher rates of mental illness, Poor Self-Esteem, Higher risk of injuries, and Refusal to participate in any kind of activity. Who are we? Addressing Learning Difficulty is an important challenge our society is facing today which may impact an individual's performance throughout life: academically, in the workplace, and relationships and daily life. Therefore, there is a need for a platform to help provide relevant resources to improve their learning process. Diffables is a voice that raises awareness and promotes acceptance for people with Learning Difficulties across Pakistan by providing parents, guardians, and students with all the relevant resources to bridge the gap that is hindering their learning process through technology. With the help of psychologists, speech therapists, and educationists we want parents to help nurture their children because they process things differently.
