Hans van Eck

Hans van Eck is the Department Head of Facilities & Instrumentation at the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (DIFFER), where they manage complex plasma experiments. They previously served as a Group Leader at DIFFER, overseeing various plasma facilities, and held roles as a Senior Research Engineer and Research Scientist at the FOM Institute. Hans began their career as a Research Technician and Research Analyst at the University of Twente, specializing in superconductors. They earned their Ph.D. in Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology and have contributed significantly to the field, also serving as Editor in Chief for the Nederlandse Vacuümvereniging.
