Dennis Chookaszian

Dennis Chookaszian has had a long and successful career in the financial and insurance industries. Dennis began their career in 1975 at CNA Insurance, where they rose to the position of Chairman & CEO. In 1999, they became Chairman & CEO of mPower, a startup company in the space satellites and advanced robotics industry. Dennis successfully took the company public in 2001.

In 2004, Dennis joined CME Group, one of the world's largest derivatives exchanges. Dennis served as Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2004 to 2020. In 2007, they also became Director and Chairman of the Risk Committee at Maxar Technologies Ltd., a space satellites and advanced robotics company. Dennis served in both roles until 2019.

Since 2020, Dennis has been working as an advisor at Diffuse, a consulting firm. Dennis also continues to serve on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council as Chairman.

Dennis Chookaszian studied chemical engineering at Northwestern University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Dennis then went on to study economics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), earning their MSc in the subject. After working for a number of years, they decided to return to academia and obtained their MBA in finance and accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Finally, they completed their Master of Science - MS in international economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
