DIG Engineering Ltd. delivers geotechnical engineering consulting services across Metro Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, Sea-to-Sky corridor, and throughout B.C., building on the legacy of Davies Geotechnical Inc., which has served the region since 2001.

We support projects of all types and scale, from single-family homes and infill projects to high-rise towers with deep parking structures, municipal works, and commercial/industrial facilities. Our expertise includes:

- Site investigations & testing - boreholes, in-house CPT/SCPT, soils lab testing, and analysis
- Foundation design & settlement analysis - shallow and deep foundations, preload, ground improvement, and excavation support
- Shoring and excavation design - shotcrete and anchors/soil nail walls, soldier pile & lagging, sheet and secant pile walls, and underpinning.
- Construction support - density testing, subgrade reviews, instrumentation, monitoring, and responsive field memos
- Specialized designs and drawings - seismic/liquefaction assessments, slope stability, retaining walls, dewatering, soft soil site preloading, and ground improvement (densification).

Our work translates complex ground conditions into straightforward, practical recommendations and designs. With decades of experience in B.C.’s varied soils, challenging topography, and seismic conditions, and with our own cone penetration testing (CPT) equipment, DIG provides the insight and responsiveness needed to guide projects smoothly from investigation through to construction.
