Established in March 2014 on Liverpool’s iconic Bold Street and quickly becoming a destination for tourists and locals alike, Dig Vinyl was the inevitable product of decades worth of record dealing, DJing, band managing, record label running, and music making of it’s founders, Anthony Nyland and Carl Emery. Since then we’ve seen three expansions, one big move down Bold Street, and the opening of our second permanent shop on West Kirby's Banks Road in November 2023. We're all about the wax - tirelessly sourcing ultra-rare finds and essential reissues, stocking fresh vinyl daily from the UK, America, Japan and beyond. Our browsers at both shops are packed with second-hand records and essential reissues that cater to all musical preferences - from killer classics to guilty pleasures, there's something for everyone… whether you're a seasoned digger or just getting started. And it doesn’t stop at the tunes! We’re also deeply rooted in the local & national music scene - hosting regular DJ events around the city, curating the quarterly CRATE record fair in Birkenhead, and managing pop-up shops everywhere from the legendary Albert Dock to the David Bowie World Fan Convention, as well as at festivals around the city (Sound City, Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia) and farther afield (We Out Here Festival, London’s Independent Label Market). Pop in and see us for a dig today at either location, or visit digvinyl.co.uk for a virtual browse!
