Gerhard Stoltz

Gerhard Stoltz has extensive experience in product development and engineering. Gerhard currently holds the position of Principal Product Development Engineer at DIG Corporation since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Designtowork, IDE🌡, QPD as a Principal Product Development Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and developing innovative products from concept to market release. Gerhard has a strong track record of success, with 14 patented products under their belt, including 6 category leaders.

Before joining Designtowork, IDE🌡, QPD, Gerhard worked at DDSTUDIO as a Sr Product Design Engineer from 2018 to 2019. During this time, they collaborated on multiple innovative projects in various industries such as sports equipment, medical devices, transportation, and gaming. Gerhard'sclients included Foresight Sport, IGT gaming, Cubic transportation, and Thales.

Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, Gerhard served as a Senior Innovation Engineer at Pentair. In this role, they provided technical leadership and strategy for an innovation team, specifically focusing on intelligent and autonomous swimming pool cleaning technology. Gerhard managed multiple projects, overseeing external vendors, technicians, and engineers, and played a crucial role in improving existing technologies.

From 2012 to 2014, Gerhard worked at Rain Bird Corporation as a Senior Project Engineer. Here, they led the design and development of the QF Drip line Header, an innovative, flexible, coiled drip-line header that revolutionized installation in the industry. Gerhard also designed the automated assembly equipment used to manufacture the QF Drip line Header.

Gerhard's work experience also includes a significant tenure at Zodiac Pool Systems from 1998 to 2012. During this time, they served as a New Product Development leader/engineer, managing teams and developing multiple product lines. Gerhard was the lead designer of the Polaris 3900 Sport, an advanced pressure-side pool cleaner, and the inventor of the Polaris Tail Sweep Pro, an innovative product that enhanced sweeping action while eliminating water spray outside the pool.

Gerhard Stoltz has a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the University of Johannesburg. Gerhard also holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the Foundation for International Services. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Root Cause Analysis from ASQ in the year 2013. Gerhard Stoltz is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education - BEd degree from the University of Johannesburg.
