John Price

John Price is a co-founder of QPE Assistant, where they develop a tool predicting qualifying precipitation events for stormwater management. With extensive experience as a start-up entrepreneur and senior technical manager, John has led teams in product development, particularly in embedded software and IoT technologies. They have served as a senior research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and held managerial roles at Cisco Meraki and Alien Technology Corporation. An expert in UHF RFID technologies, John has co-authored international standards for the retail supply chain and is a prolific inventor with 13 patents and 26 peer-reviewed publications. John earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and also holds bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Chemistry from the University of Arizona.
