Joe Morton has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in project management, logistics, and community development. Currently serving as the Project Officer for the Appalachia Water Project at DigDeep Water since February 2024, Joe focuses on ensuring access to clean water for all Americans. Previously, Joe held the position of Logistics and Fleet Manager at Southern Forest Products, LLC, overseeing the delivery operations for building materials in the mid-Atlantic region. Joe also directed community, business, and economic development initiatives at the Heart of Appalachia Tourism Authority from August 2018 to December 2022, and managed a commercial real estate development firm, Blue Ridge One LLC, from 2001 to 2018. Joe Morton graduated from Virginia Tech between 1981 and 1985.
