Gheildon Wright began their work experience in 2010 as the Dean of Discipline at MOE. They held this position until 2018. In 2017, they joined the Jamaica Automobile Association as the Manager of Vendor Relations, and then transitioned to become the Manager of Corporate Sales & Services in 2018. Their most recent role, starting in 2023, is as the Head of Customer Experience & Contact Center Operations at Digicel Group.

Gheildon Wright holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Northern Caribbean University (NCU). Gheildon also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from The Mico University College. Additionally, they have a Professional Qualification for Principalship (PQP) from The National College for Educational Leadership (NCEL).
