Benjamin Lam

Benjamin Lam has a long and varied career in the legal and compliance industry. Benjamin began their career in 2008 as a Solicitor at Brookfields Lawyers. In 2010, they moved to Ogier as a Paralegal, where they provided legal and fiduciary services. In 2011, they became a Registered Foreign Lawyer at Shum & Co Solicitors. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Legal & Compliance Officer at SinoPac Asset Management (Asia) Limited. In 2014, they moved to GAM as a Senior Legal & Compliance Officer. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Legal & Compliance Manager at Swissquote. In 2017, they became the Head Of Legal & Compliance at Assured Asset Management. In 2020, they moved to Tiger Brokers (NZ) Limited as Compliance Manager - Regulatory. Currently, they are the Global Chief Compliance Officer at DigiFinex Global.

Benjamin Lam obtained a Certificate in Business Computing from Unitec in Information Technology. Benjamin then attended the University of Canterbury and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2000. Benjamin then attended The University of Waikato and obtained an LLB in Legal in 2004. After that, they attended The College of Law in New Zealand and obtained a Professional Legal Practice in 2006. In 2005, they became an Associate Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute. In 2007, they obtained a Barrister & Solicitor from the New Zealand Law Society. In 2020, they obtained a Barrister & Solicitor from the Supreme Court of Victoria.
