Douglas Ehrle has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Douglas started their career as an OH58A/C Helicopter Mechanic in the US Army from June 1983 to May 1989. Douglas then worked in the US Army as an AH-1/UH-1/AH64A/AH64D Pilot, Instructor Pilot, and Maintenance Test Pilot from June 1989 to July 2008. During this time, they held positions such as Flight Operations Officer, Instructor Pilot, Program Manager, Standardization Officer, and Maintenance program.

In May 2008, Douglas joined VT Aepco as a Senior Analyst, where they were responsible for providing technical and flight analysis for hardware and software upgrades, leading the Army's AH64E LCT and Block II upgrades. Douglas also performed Maintenance Test Flight evaluations of Longbow Helicopter Simulators.

In June 2019, they joined i3Corps as a Program Integrator, and in the same year, they joined DigiFlight, Inc. as a Program Manager, and FMS LCT and Team Task Lead.
