Tim O'Hara

Senior System Engineer at DigiFlight

Tim O'Hara has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tim started their career as an Electronics Engineer at the Naval Intelligence Support Center in 1983, where they performed intelligence analysis and reverse engineered foreign electronics systems. Tim then transitioned to various roles within the United States Department of Defense, including Deputy Special Assistant to the Commander for Transformation, National Maritime Intelligence Officer at the Office of Naval Intelligence, and Division Head in the Strategic Planning and Policy Division. In 2011, Tim pursued a master's degree in strategic management and logistics at The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, during which they studied robotics and autonomous systems across the United States, Japan, and South Korea. Tim went on to hold leadership positions at the United States Department of Defense, including Project Lead for Secure Mobility and Deputy Division Chief for Innovation. In 2017, Tim became the Owner and CEO of Discovery Analytics Corporation. Most recently, they worked at DigiFlight, Inc. as a Senior System Engineer, supporting the migration from legacy systems to new cloud-based solutions and enhancing capabilities through technology insertion and strategy development.

Tim O'Hara has a strong education background in the fields of national security, resource strategy, engineering management, and mathematics. In 2011-2012, they attended The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, where they obtained a Master's Degree in National Resource Strategy. From 1986 to 1989, they studied at The George Washington University and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management. Additionally, Tim has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland. Tim also holds a certification as an Intelligence Community Officer from the Office of Director of National Intelligence.
