Test Engineer at DigiFlight

Vance A. has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Vance started their career in 2003 with the US Army, where they served as an Assistant Product Manager for Target Identification and Meteorological Sensors. In this role, they managed the technical development, production, and fielding of the Meteorological Measuring Set, valued at over $100 million. Vance also supported Future Combat Systems on weather sensor requirements and designs.

In 2009, Vance transitioned to Booz Allen Hamilton as a Program Analyst, providing project management support to the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate. Vance led the development of the Work Breakdown Structure and was the IT lead for the I2WD Fusion Modeling and Simulation Division BRAC transition to Aberdeen.

From 2011 to 2012, Vance worked as a Test and Evaluation Consultant at CGI, where they provided onsite support to an Intelligence Community Independent Test and Evaluation/Operational Test Authority. Vance assisted in the oversight of Major System Acquisitions and other programs, ensuring adequate test and evaluation was performed.

Vance then joined DigiFlight, Inc. in 2012 as a Test Engineer. Vance provided test and evaluation support for programs under the Defense Information System Agency Multinational Information Sharing Program Management Office and Joint Interoperability Test Center Coalition Office. Vance evaluated test plans, cases, procedures, and reports for multiple systems.

Most recently, Vance has been working with Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since 2017 as a Cyber Incident Case Manager. In this role, they analyze and reviews the impact of compromised data to the Department of Defense resulting from cyber incidents. Vance provides support to the Office of the Undersecretary for Defense and conducts thorough analysis of compromised media to protect controlled technical information. Vance also oversees subject matter expert participation in cyber incident damage assessments.

Vance A. completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Administration at North Carolina Central University from 1984 to 1989. Vance then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management at Webster University from 2001 to 2003. Continuing their education, Vance A. obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity from Webster University between 2014 and 2016. Most recently, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Procurement/Acquisitions at Webster University from 2018 to 2019.
