Yolanda Lavender has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at DigiFlight, Inc. as an Executive Assistant/Assistant Recruiter. In this role, they provided administrative support and assisted with recruitment activities. Yolanda then joined Ballou Senior High School from 2013 to 2015 as a Behavior Specialist, where they focused on managing student behavior and supporting the school community. In 2018, they became the Dean of Students at Washington Leadership Academy Public Charter School and held this position until 2020. Yolanda's responsibilities included student leadership development and overall student support. In 2020, they returned to DigiFlight, Inc. as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, where they currently work, focusing on recruiting new talent for the company.

Yolanda Lavender completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Wake Forest University from 2005 to 2007. yolanda then attended The George Washington University from 2007 to 2009, where they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
