Lisa Ma has had a varied and impressive career since 2016. Lisa began their professional career as an Undergraduate Intern at Aramco Services Company, where they performed literature searches and organized information for easy access. In 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Trinity University, where they documented GPS data of the sinkholes of Olmos Basin and presented the data in a poster with a published abstract. In 2018, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at Penn State University, where they conducted a seismic refraction tomography study to investigate the 2D P-wave velocity structure of the Shale Hills watershed. Also in 2018, they were a Summer Research Intern at Petricore UAE (Scal Arabia Limited), where they evaluated differing techniques in their efficiency to determine mineralogy. Most recently, in 2020, they began working as a Senior Application Scientist at DigiM Solution, where they lead projects from data collection to AI segmentation and analysis to modeling critical quality attributes.
Lisa Ma obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Trinity University between 2014 and 2018. Lisa then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Geophysics and Seismology at Penn State University, which they completed in 2020.
