John Powers is an experienced entrepreneur and leader in the energy sector, currently serving as Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Elexity, where innovative load flexibility solutions are developed to support solar installations. Powers has played a significant role as a Board Member of the Peak Load Management Alliance since 2014, promoting dynamic load management practices, and as a Mentor for the Cleantech Open, guiding startups with insights gained from extensive experience. In addition, Powers founded Digipede Technologies, specializing in distributed computing software, and played pivotal roles in previous companies such as ABB, Energy Interactive, and Quantum Consulting, where leadership and strategic management were key to their growth and success. Powers holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Reed College.
