Steve Mason is an experienced backend developer and tech lead with over 20 years of expertise in APIs, distributed systems, and developer efficiency. Currently a Staff Engineer at Digit, they previously served as a Software Engineer at NatWest Markets Plc, where they significantly improved onboarding processes and reduced build times. Prior to that, Mason held the role of Director of Engineering at Brandwatch, overseeing the redevelopment of the frontend stack and multiple iterations of the data storage platform. They began their career with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Brighton.
