John Davis

John Davis has had a long and successful career in the technology and aerospace industries. John began their career in 1963 as an Aerospace Software Design Engineer at General Precision Aerospace, where they designed guidance equations for ballistic missiles that employed a Stellar Inertial Guidance System. In 1964, they joined United Technologies as a Project Engineer for the Lunar Lander, and was on a console during the first lunar landing. In 1974, they founded Digital Services Corp., which designed and manufactured Video Special Effects equipment for television production, and grew to over 100 employees without venture capital. From 1982 to 2000, they were a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Florida, where they enjoyed teaching but lectures got too large. Finally, in 2000, they founded Digital Broadcast Inc., which they started with a core of 3 people and has grown gradually from reinvesting profits, with no outside investors.

John Davis attended the Stevens Institute of Technology from 1959 to 1964, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE). John then went on to the University of Florida from 1970 to 1972, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science. Finally, they returned to the University of Florida from 1994 to 1995 to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
