Alistair Munro

Alistair Munro is a Senior 5G adviser and technical consultant specializing in 5G vertical applications. With extensive experience in designing and modeling distributed algorithms and protocols, they focus on the engineering and performance analysis of networked communications systems. Alistair's career includes serving as the technical lead on the UK ASTRAEA communications and security programme at Airbus Defence and Space, collaborating with major aviation companies, and advising the European Commission on framework research programmes. They have held academic positions, including Toshiba Professor of Communications Networks at the University of Bristol, and currently work at Digital Catapult, providing guidance on Industrial 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme projects. Alistair holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from The University of Manchester and a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College London.
