The Digital Child Safe Ecosystem™ (DCSE) is a nationally led, multi-layer child-safeguarding model designed to protect children from escalating digital harms while strengthening the capacity of local institutions in resource-constrained environments.

The Zimbabwe partnership—led entirely by CODAZIM (Children of the Digital Age Zimbabwe)—combines community-level prevention, on-device privacy-preserving detection (via RoseShield™), safe digital participation environments for children, and strengthened downstream safeguarding pathways, supported by independent Measurement, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) partnerships with universities.

Pilot Scale: The initial Phase 1 pilot will run over a six-month period and reach up to 10,000 children, combining on-device RoseShield™ protection, safe digital participation spaces, youth advocacy activation, community education, and strengthened downstream safeguarding pathways. This scale is large enough to generate publishable evidence yet focused enough to remain fully manageable for CODAZIM as the sole implementing partner.

Vision: To create a sustainable, locally governed, cost-efficient digital child-safeguarding model that reduces online harm, strengthens protective environments, improves national response capacity, and generates long-term, evidence-based outcomes for children.

Detect high-risk digital threats early using on-device, privacy-preserving technology.

Provide a positive alternative to open social media offering safer social interaction, life-skills learning, and wellbeing content.

Strengthen frontline safeguarding systems—schools, social workers, police, justice actors—through targeted, actionable data.

Mobilize youth voice through structured advocacy programs.

Create a Future Proofing Academy that teaches children how to create safer digital products and AI too
