Rick brings 35 years of experience to DDI as a technical executive with an extensive background in spearheading robot and control platform development in industrial, medical, service industry, and precision (sub-micron) assembly operations. He has successfully led cross-functional teams to design and optimize high-performance, sensor-based, mechatronic control systems, driving leadership in cycle time, bandwidth, and package footprint. Rick holds 50 patents awarded by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He earned his BS/MSME from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MBA from Pepperdine, and is a Charles Stark Draper Fellow.
