Digital Education Systems Pty Limited (DigEd) is an Australian technology company dedicated to transforming education through affordable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure. We specialise in developing open-source, cloud-ready systems tailored for schools, with a focus on accessibility, efficiency, and local control.

Our flagship initiative is the Ubuntu Pro School Platform, an education-ready operating system and software suite designed to replace costly, hardware-intensive solutions like Windows 10 and Microsoft 365. Built on Ubuntu Pro and enhanced with DigEd’s School Extension, our system provides a fully integrated alternative to OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure AD, and Teams — optimised for older hardware and minimal budgets.

Key features of the DigEd platform include:

Samba Active Directory integration for user and device management

    Nextcloud-powered file sharing (Ubuntu Drive)

    Web-based collaboration tools

Seamless Google Drive and OpenOffice/LibreOffice integration

Dynamic DNS support and internal-only or public deployment flexibility

Australian-hosted and supported, with no ongoing licensing lock-ins

DigEd empowers schools to take back control of their digital infrastructure, reduce costs, and provide equitable access to technology for every student — no matter where in the world.
