Derek Denning is the Director of Research Analytics at Digital Science, a position held since 2019. Prior to this, they gained extensive experience as a Graduate Research Assistant, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland from 2009 to 2016. They also served as a Research Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies from 2017 to 2019 and began their academic journey as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas in 2008. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Saint Michael's College and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Maryland College Park, supplemented by a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics and Visualization from The George Washington University.
