Rami Luisto

Rami Luisto has a diverse work experience in the field of research and data science. Rami is currently working at Digital Workforce as the Healthcare AI Lead (Data Scientist), where they are responsible for developing AI solutions for healthcare with a focus on understanding customers' data environments and IT-infrastructure needs. Their expertise lies in NLP and CV methods. Prior to this, Rami worked as a Data Scientist at the same company.

Before joining Digital Workforce, Rami served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä from September 2018 to August 2020. Rami also held the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher at Charles University in Prague from September 2017 to August 2018, and at the University of Jyväskylä from January 2017 to August 2017. Rami briefly worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2016.

Rami's academic journey started at the University of Helsinki, where they completed their PhD in mathematics. During this time, they worked on their doctoral thesis, focusing on quasiregular geometry, metric geometry, metric group theory, and algebraic topology. Rami served as a Lecturer and Teaching Assistant during their PhD years. Prior to that, Rami worked as a Trainee at the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Analysis and Dynamics Research, where they worked on their Master's thesis. Rami also briefly worked as a Lecturer during their Master's program.

Rami Luisto has a substantial education history in mathematics. Rami earned their Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki, completing their studies from 2006 to 2011. Rami then pursued a Licentiate degree in Mathematics from the same university, which they obtained between 2012 and 2014. Rami furthered their academic journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki, completing their studies before 2016.

Rami continued their educational pursuits and achieved the prestigious title of Docent in Mathematics from the University of Helsinki, an accomplishment not linked to a specific time frame but recorded prior to 2020.

Additionally, Rami has obtained several certifications outside their formal education. Rami received the "Level I Certification," "Level II Certification," and "Level III Certification" from Robocorp in April 2023. Rami also completed the "Django for Everybody" course offered by the University of Michigan through Coursera in October 2021. Rami holds the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" certification from Microsoft, earned in January 2021. Prior to that, in August 2020, Rami successfully completed the "AI for Medical Diagnosis" course on Coursera and obtained the "Data Science Professional Certificate" and "Deep Learning Specialization" from Coursera and deeplearning.ai, respectively, in June and May 2020.

Moreover, Rami has completed the "Elements of AI" program offered by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor in June 2018. Rami also obtained the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2020 and the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate" certification from Microsoft in January 2022. Lastly, Rami is recognized as an "ABBYY Vantage Certified Business Analyst" by ABBYY Prod, a certification they received in March 2022.
