Chip Towner is a seasoned systems engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sectors. Currently serving as a Systems Engineer and Project Lead for the Direct Access Program at DigitalGlobe since 2013, Chip is focused on developing and deploying next-generation ground systems for the WorldView satellite constellation. Prior to this role, Chip held positions at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company from 2007 to 2012 as a Principal Systems Engineer and Program Manager for the NGA Commercial SAR program, and earlier worked as a Systems Engineer at Veridian. Chip’s career at Lockheed Martin dates back to 1987, initially focusing on RF engineering before transitioning to systems engineering. An early role as an RF Engineer at Harris Corporation laid the foundation for Chip's expertise. Chip holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in RF Propagation, Microwaves, and Antennas, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Virginia Tech.
