Kelly Lu

Kelly Lu currently serves as the Head of Growth and Web Engineering at DigitalOcean since January 2025. Previously, Lu held various leadership roles at Twilio from May 2021 to March 2024, including Director of Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed the Customer Experience (CX) pillar within the Segment CDP organization, as well as Vancouver Hub Lead, focusing on team representation and cultural initiatives. As a Senior Engineering Manager and Site Lead at Twilio Segment from 2019 to 2021, Lu led significant engineering teams and improved platform focus. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Director at East Side Games, where a multi-disciplinary team was expanded, and foundational roles at Lubird Future Media, VidWrx, and others. Lu earned a BSc in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007.
