Cole Howard

Cole Howard is an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience in developing sophisticated algorithms and models across various industries. Currently employed at Digits since December 2021, Cole previously served as the Machine Learning Engineering Lead at Spiden and held titles including Head of Engineering and Data Science, and Machine Learning Engineer at Talentpair, where significant contributions included the creation of deep learning solutions for the recruiting sector. Cole's projects encompassed developing a Siamese Convolutional Neural Network for document similarity and implementing ensemble models for document classification. In addition to engineering roles, Cole co-authored "Natural Language Processing in Action," contributing chapters on foundational concepts in neural networks. Other experiences include building a product recommendation engine at Dark Horse Comics and co-founding Subtle Gears to democratize machine learning. Cole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
