Jón Ágúst Reynisson

Jón Ágúst Reynisson has extensive work experience in the field of GIS (Geographic Information System) and project management. Jón Ágúst started their career as a Consultant at Byggðastofnun, where they worked on creating regional plans for two areas in Iceland and provided consulting services to companies on grants and loans. Jón Ágúst then joined the Innovation Center Iceland, formerly known as the Technological Institute of Iceland, as a Project Manager. In this role, they successfully managed various projects.

In 2000, Jón Ágúst Reynisson joined Snertill as a Project Manager and stayed with the company until 2004. Jón Ágúst then moved to EFLA Consulting Engineers, where they worked as a Project Manager for GIS software design. Jón Ágúst worked on various projects until 2013.

Afterwards, Jón Ágúst Reynisson founded their own company called Kubbar, where they served as CEO and a GIS expert. Jón Ágúst managed the company until 2015 when they joined Hedemora Energi AB as a GIS Engineer. At Hedemora Energi, they contributed to GIS projects until 2017.

Currently, Jón Ágúst Reynisson is working at Digpro as a Client Manager and GIS Consultant, where they continue to utilize their expertise in GIS.

Jón Ágúst Reynisson began their education by attending Menntaskólinn á Egilsstöðum from 1988 to 1991, where they studied gymnasium. Jón Ágúst then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography at Háskóli Íslands from 1991 to 1994. Later on, Jón Ágúst Reynisson obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General at Háskóli Íslands from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they attended the University of Gävle from 2014 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Geomatics degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography.
